O qualsevol altre de Peaches, per al cas.[endtext]

[postlink]https://cansongs.blogspot.com/2014/10/bitch-of-peaches.html[/postlink]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6d5a6eg9kEendofvid [starttext]I've known the folks in Bitches & Peaches for a while, and although we parted ways long ago, I've always collaborated with whatever project they were at the time. Their latest incarnation has had a bit of a success, if only production-wise, but they haven't quite managed to record some fancy video to showcase their talents. That's why I'd rather pass on live renditions and post some crap by Ontarian expat Merrill Beth Nisker, hereby known as «that kinda bitch». Too bad I couldn't find that footage where she pees on her pants...[endtext]

So good ol' David Robert Jones released a new video what caused quite a stir for its depiction of stablished religions or whatsoever. Now, who cares either about religion or David Bowie anymore? Ok, maybe we do about the latter, but in his previous incarnations, specially that of Ziggy Stardust: cosmonaut canuck -if the synonimous applies- Chris Hadfield does so, as he chose one of Bowie's early space rock anthems to say goodbye to his legion of followers from the International Space Station, save he wasn't reliving Major Tom's trip; Hadfield, instead, would be the most down-to-Earth astronaut ever cast into space. Oh, and it seems the first-ever original album recorded in orbit is following!

Fun fact #1 is that Neil Young ain't American, but Canadian, although the latter has never ever been proved. Fun fact #2 is that he and Crazy Horse ain't rearranging one of the best known American songs to the tune of Shocking Blue's Venus, but the Dutch one-hit wonder got inspiration from an earlier arrangement of Oh! Susanna aptly called The Banjo Song.

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun,
but the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time.
Winnipeg's own Terry Jacks' biggest hit was a rework of both the Jacques Brel original Le moribond and the English adaptation by Rod McKuen, although he also took a stab at the Belgian's most famous song by If You Go Away; a classic in its own way, Seasons in the Sun would be famously covered by Nirvana and other indie acts since then, but there's a funny story about the B-side being called Put the Bone In you wouldn't want to miss!
