Influential as (m)any, Nick Lowe has been in the shadow of other New Wave acts like Elvis Costello or one-time stepfather-in-law Johnny Cash, but truth is he's been there since the inception of punk and/or pub rock, to both of which Nick Lowe was a contributor. And, as the story goes, this is not listed as one of his best known hits, but it's the first thing I ever heard from him, waaay back.

Els Banderas de Mayo portuguesos devien el seu nom al començament de l'himne oficial portugués: «Herois de la mar, noble poble;/ nació valenta, immortal:/ alceu hui de nou/ l'esplendor de Portugal!» El patriotisme no era gratuït: el grup fou acusat de neonazi i feixista en cantar les glòries passades en el context post-revolucionari dels anys 80 i -segons ells- se'ls prohibia actuar al sud del riu Tejo; el documental Brava dança és un interessant testimoni d'aquella època. A mi, ara mateix, em sonen a musiqueta de vídeojoc... i eixos saragüells portuguesos, què?
