Cem Baba

A pioneer of Anatolian rock, Muhtar Cem Karaca well deserves the nickname of Baba for his extensive discography during a confusing period in Turkey: of Armenian and Azerbaijani descent, he earned a name through many different bands like Apaşlar, Kardaşlar, Moğollar (with whom he debuted this song, Namus belasi), Dervişan and Edirdahan before leaving home for West Germany in 1978; he wouldn't return until 1987 due to political issues, and although he had already achieved a cult status, his career never got quite the attention he deserved. He'd die in 2004.
