Word has it Wales' own Saint David lived more than a hundred years and died on Thursday 1 March 589 AD; Super Furry Animals' own Dafydd Daf Ieuan was born on the very same day roughly two thousand years later and, prior to drumming in SFA, he was in both Anrehfn and Ffa Coffi Pawb with fellow Gruff Rhys; later, he drummed for Cerys Matthews in Catatonia and, of lately, he had a side project with Rhys Ifans called The Peth, which doesn't sound too bad at all, eh?
