Although John Davies Cale was raised almost exclusively in Welsh and didn't learn English until primary school, I've failed to find some contribution to his career in his mother tongue; and, even having been molested by a priest in his childhood, he penned the most influential cover of Leonard Cohen's Hallellujah until Jeff Buckley's, who properly acknowledged Cale's contribution, since forgotten.
